Ten Thousand – Boom!

Thanks to my alcoholic fuelled long weekend, I was running well behind on NaNoWriMo! What an idiot I must have been to take up this task when I was so busy the first week.

Never the less, I’m persevering and have just reached 10,000 words after four days of actual writing. I’m going to spend the next few hours writing and hopefully get somewhere between 12,000 and 15,000 by the end of the day.

Let’s hope I don’t actually run out of ideas where to take this book and ultimately fail.

Oh wait, I’m ‘Ard Pete. I don’t fail.

I’m awesome.

…Carry on.

Author: 'Ard Pete

Hey everyone, my names Pete, friends call me 'Ard Pete because... well, I'm well 'Ard. Currently in Chesterfield, England, currently working as an I.T. Technical Lead for BT Business and Public Sector; it sounds more glamourous than it is but I'm a dab hand with Microsoft products. I enjoy television, mainly any Star Trek, all of Stargate, Lost, anything Joss Whedon has produced, 24 and House. Favourite music includes; Mumford and Sons, Jason Mraz, Eminem, Chris Cornell, Ludovico Einaudi, Goo Goo Dolls, Muse, 30 Seconds To Mars basically a wide variety of anything that's real, I hate dance, trance and anything like that, I don't consider that to be music. Not much of a sports guy, I like Professional Wrestling, Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, I can watch Football but only when I'm forced to watch it. Favourite author is Terry Pratchett, favourite film is Armageddon, favourite comedian is Lee Evans, favourite idiot is Karl Pilkington, favourite game is GTAIII, if there's anything else you wish to know, don't hesitate to ask. I'll more than likely not be busy.

    1. The plot is based on a series of short stories I wrote last year which are located here: http://writingasylum.wordpress.com/insanitys-ascension/

Basically a man wakes up in a padded cell in an insane asylum with no memory of who he was or why he’s there. He eventually breaks free exhibiting skills he never knew he had and manages to escape via an elevator. Although when he steps out of the elevator he finds himself in Ancient Rome.

Another inmate also without memory with the promise of freedom is tasked to go and retrieve the first inmate before he can causes damage to the timeline. However if they both want escape they must band together and figure out what they have in common and unravel the mystery of a time travelling elevator and why they were placed in padded cells to begin with.
